Some of our Private Chef clients order a buffet or a served dinner each day, and prepare their own breakfast and lunch. Many similar meals are also available on our Good To Go Menu for pick up or delivery.

We are excited to announce our new commercial kitchen! From here, we cater all over the county. We also can host events at nearby halls and venues. For an intimate dinner, we can host up to 6 in the Rainbow Room at Chef Dave Cooks!
Dave began his culinary career at the age of six, when he helped his mother make some chocolate chip cookies from scratch and was amazed at how someone could mix together butter, sugar, eggs, flour and other yummy ingredients—pop the morsels of dough into the oven and create a fabuliciously, gooey treat. He was hooked. When dining out with family, he would often try something new and then go home and duplicate it. Surrounded by an appreciative family, it wasn’t long before Dave was preparing entire meals.
He began his career in commercial kitchens learning and doing all he could, ranging from line-cooking, prep, Garde Manger, pastry, banquets—whatever was required of him.
Dave’s proficiency is built on 40+ years of experience in bakeries, delis, fine dining restaurants, a hotel and convention center, the diverse kitchens of Washington State University Student Union, the Black Oak Casino, the historic Sonora Inn and assorted catering operations.
His clients include various local charitable organizations including Sonora Area Foundation, Kiwanis Sonora, Humane Society, FOAC, Horse Rescue, to private events like weddings, memorial services, birthdays, and anniversaries.
Today, Dave and his passionate crew create meals from the simple, to the fantastic for special occasions, to feeding the food insecure and everything in between. Fresh, healthy, locally sourced ingredients are the foundation of Dave’s culinary style. He strives to keep up with food trends and nutrition science in an ever changing ecosystem. As always, he makes every effort to honor the dietary needs of his clients.
